Maria Kotseva-Tikova has a Master's degree in Finance from the University of National and World Economy and she is a Ph.D. in Economics at the Economic Research Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She is an Associate Professor in the Public Administration Department at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and a researcher at the Economic Research Institute at the BAS. Her research interests are in the field of renewable energy sources, green economy and growth, and active development of primary education problems in the country.

Abstract

The Eurozone is considered as a strategy of deterritorialization and at the same time reterritorialization on a new basis. The positive impacts shared by the members are examined, as well as the negative implications of the participation in the union. The convergence indicators of the member countries of the Eurozone and the EU are analyzed and evaluated.
