Abstract
The text presents a case study of a 2015 crowdfunding campaign for raising funds for the construction of a school in the West African country of Ghana. The campaign was organized by students from Peyo Yavorov Foreign Language High School in Silistra, Bulgaria. The author presents various aspects of the campaign’s organization, key activities, and results, placing the case study in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and the current discussion about the role of the nation state and supranational solidarity.
