Abstract

The article attempts to present on the basis of a synthesis of existing methodological and theoretical views about the social institute (institute) as a phenomenon of social theory and practice, the author's understanding of this social construction. The author offers his view on the formation of theoretical ideas about the institute, its generic features and functions.
