Abstract

The article outlines the role of modern social science in the governance and policy process. For this purpose, the nature of the science and the possibility of its practical use in public governance and public policy making have been analyzed; different forms of interaction between science, strategic governance and public policy, different professional roles of the social scientist; possible forms of institutionalization of the involvement of scientists in the governance process.
